Description

This will be our last meeting for the year 2023, following the last stretch of the Sun’s path.

As we enter Winter time, we will go in a place of retreat and rest, following and mirroring the language of nature. We will access our dreamscapes, and let ourselves be guided by images and dream experiences emerging from there, hence transcending literal and tangible reality.

Each participant is invited to bring a dream (or part of a dream) to the circle and share it with the others.

Please don’t be tricked by the title of this gathering: you don’t need to have dreamt of an animal to share your dream! An animal will join our explorations as a guide or mentor, according to what emerges among the group, so be ready for a Christmas gift and surprise!

A note for those who don’t dream much/cannot remember their dreams:  

Please join the circle too as we will need some participants acting as dream’s resonators, a role that will allow us to play together with the magic of Winter dreaming.

Pen and paper/diary, coloured pencils or paint.

Description

Birds migrating
Colours changing
Shadows longer

Time to enjoy the harvest
Space to absorb the nutrients
Moving down, slowly, in the ground.

As leaves and flowers around us wear new colours and gradually dry up, how are we changing during this season? Let’s welcome the Autumn Equinox, the time of the year where the length of days reduces and the light of the Sun reaches a point of balance – in a moment of perfect equality – with the night time. How is it for us to be and meet on that threshold?

We will enter the circle of this season by moving from the manifested sides of Nature and of ourselves to more downward and hidden places. Guided by trees, we will take the way down from the canopy and the branches into the roots.

Entering the ground, meeting the soil, both physical and metaphorical, we will explore the messages and insights that will emerge from there, remembering that we have roots. What’s their meaning and purposes for the final months of this year?

What to have at hand

Pen and paper/diary, coloured pencils or paint.

Preparation

Choose a tree in your surroundings and visit the place where it stands. Looking up through its canopy, it branches and leaves, then observe the trunk and finally its base or roots. Make a sketch or take a picture, but most importantly allow all that you have observed and felt find a special place inside you. It is that place that we will visit together.

Description

With the arrival of Summer, the energy of the Sun is at its most powerful, and nature around us speaks about manifestation, maturity and ripening. Many people experience a strong, powerful and very tangible connection with the material world during this period, and the experience of embodiment changes as our senses become engaged more intensely.

Which memories do you have of your Summer holidays as a child? And what makes Summer ‘Summer’ for you today?

By remembering the child we once were, we will connect to a special place inside ourselves, where the Magical Child lives. We will listen to the teachings of the Sea/Ocean through a creative activity that will help us find gifts and resources for our most mature/adult side. Through visualisations we will also consider the role of trust, courage and playfulness in our lives.

How to prepare and what to bring:

Prepare to dive into Water by bringing with you a bucket/pot/bowl of salty water. Collect some little stones/pebbles/shells.

Choose a picture of yourself as a 7 to 10 years old child, and stick it with some tape on your bucket/pot/bowl of water

If possible and the weather allows it, you are very welcome to connect for this Circle from a place outdoors.

Description

In this first circle of the year 2023, we will explore various themes that the arrival of Spring evokes: the return of light and the power of the Sun; awakening; emergence; initiation; rebirth. We will look at some of these themes through experiential exercises, visualisations and work in pairs, eliciting the connections and mirroring of our inner Springtime with the outer one. We will also connect to Nature directly, attuning to the teachings of plants and birds in their dual role as active representatives of Spring and – at the same time – as witnesses of it.

How to prepare and what to bring:

You are invited to regularly observe a specific plant, flower or tree (it can be as little as 1 minute a day) over several days before the event. As you do this, you are invited to pay attention to a specific bird you can spot or hear in your surroundings. An image of the plant and the bird will be welcome in the circle.
