Project week at Growing Orbits
In March 2025, a group of eight students aged 16 to 19 embarked on a transformative experience.
Coming from very diverse backgrounds – including Egypt, Russia, Armenia, Iraq, Sudan, North Macedonia, Uzbekistan, Slovakia, and Italy – they engaged in a project dedicated to shaping the natural landscape of Growing Orbits. The intention was to transform the space so that it can foster a safer and more harmonious connection to nature for the clients and the public visiting this special place.

Working in tandem with the land, students cleared overgrown vegetation, restored dry stone walls, and carefully designed spaces that invite reflection, healing, and personal growth. This experience also allowed them to explore the profound interconnections between nature and the human psyche—how we connect with the visible and invisible, the body, mind, and soul.
Throughout the week, the students participated in daily circle time, engaging in personal reflection and sharing, which helped deepen their connection to both their cultural roots and the land they worked on. As a final creative expression, they captured their experiences through writing, drawings, music, and other forms of art, ensuring that the lessons and insights gained during the week were expressed in ways that were meaningful and lasting.
